About this site
TapasTalk aims to be an information portal for Spanish cuisine, specifically focusing on the myriad of little dishes that can be found served as “tapas” all around the country. I will also be developing a list and reviews of some good tapas bars to try while you are in Spain.
As TapasTalk is in the development stage, you may not find what you are looking for. Please feel free to write me a comment or drop me a line with a question, idea or suggestion for future posts. If you have a great recipe you would like to share, send it on over! I would also love to hear if you have tried these recipes and what you thought of them!
About the author
I have a love and curiosity for Spain, its people and cultures and of course its food. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I lived in Granada, Spain and New York City before finally moving to Madrid, Spain in the year 2000. I have been here ever since! I am a cook , I love to travel, I work at an incoming travel company, and I´m also very interested in history which comes in handy when I occasionally lead walking and tapas tours in Madrid. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I have enjoyed creating it!

It’s a nice job the one you’re doing. I’ve posted a lot of tapas places all over Spain on my blog, but it’s always fun to discover new and old places from other eyes.
Good luck
Hey there Janelle….
Wow what a page you have going on over there? How are things? I have not been on VT lately, but when I did just get on there for the first time in a while, I was thrilled to see what you are doing here! Fantastic! I just started doing something similar, but yours is much better. Hope all is well and please write back if you get a chance. Then we can meet in Madrid, and then in Alicante, and we can give each other some tapas tours! Ciao,
michael
This is a fantastic site and resource. My work colleagues in Madrid suggested I try a Tapas tour so I am excited to schedule based on all of the great restaurants listed here.
Hola dsde NYC!
As a long time Spain resident and grandfather of
4 Spanish kids I enjoyed your site. I have been away from Spain for 2 weeks and am ready to visit again soon!

Hi Richard,
Actually I´m not doing tours too often now as I am pretty busy with my day job (as you possibly can tell from my complete lack of posting lately) I will try to get more posts up soon!

Hola Janelle,
We did a tour with you in Madrid in 2007 with 2 of our friends. We are happy to see your blog is still going strong. We must come back to Spain again soon.
Cheers from Australia,

hey Janelle, didnt know that you’d lived in Granada before moving to Madrid! I’m based in Granada, would love to meet up and talk about life in Spain whenever we get the chance to. Would you also be interested in a link exchange with us at WhyGoSpain?
Very nice site, I’m going to keep you on my favorites. I make Paella Friday nights with my 2 year old daughter. We’ll add the bravas tonight. The recipe sounds right on. Keep up the great work and have a great weekend.
